Martin England and the Reconstructed – Fri. Feb. 17 at the Press Room
Jan 26
On Friday, February 17, Martin England & the Reconstructed make a triumphant return to the Press Room (Portsmouth, NH). Why is it a triumph? Well, anytime you can pull this much talent together on one stage, it’s a victory, and deserves a proper celebration. Check out the video above from last October’s show, and they try (just try!) to sit still. Hope to see you there.
In the Press: Voices to Hear Interview

Hello Lewiston!
Nov 02Lewiston, ME was once the home of songster Ray Lamontagne. It was there he awoke to the sounds of Stephen Stills’ Treetop Flyer just before he jettisoned off to work in a shoe factory just before embarking on an amazing career in music (and putting Lewiston on the map). Tomorrow night (Thursday, November 3) I make my Lewiston debut at She Doesn’t Like Guthrie’s, who serve up the best in food, music, and spirits. Join me for an evening of songs and stories. Music starts at 7 PM and runs until 9, making it the perfect weekend teaser. Read more.
Reunion at the Hamilton House
Jul 12This Sunday, July 17, I’ll be reuniting with my good friend Andy Happel (Thanks to Gravity, Don Campbell Band, former PJudd producer) for a garden concert at the Historic Hamilton House (40 Vaughns Lane – South Berwick, ME). Andy will be scratching some fiddle and playing a little guitar with me. For fans of the 90′s Seacoast music scene, this is a pairing that has deep roots and is must-see live music. In regards to the series, this from the South Berwick website: “Hamilton House’s graceful gardens overlooking the Salmon Falls River provide the perfect setting for this series of late-afternoon performances. Concert goers are encouraged to bring a blanket, chairs, and their picnic baskets. In case of rain, concerts are held in the garden cottage.” There you have it. Hope you can join us. Pack a picnic dinner and the kids in the family grocery getter and come on down.
Two for Portsmouth: Sat. July 9 – Farmers Market and Prescott Park
Jul 02Next Saturday, July 9 I’ll be playing two shows in the friendly city of Portsmouth, NH. The first gig is at the Portsmouth Farmers Market (Junkins Avenue) from 9:30 AM-12:30 PM. Soon after, I’ll be packing up my good friend Mavis and heading over to the Prescott Park Showcase Fest at 2 PM, which also features Patty Larkin, Jason Spooner and Jon Nolan. Both shows are all ages and free (donations accepted). Pack a picnic lunch. Make a day of it!
